This is my absolute favorite seasoning blend. I’ll use it on any grain – not just rice – to take it to the next level of YUM!
I first started using Genius Kitchen’s recipe for Long Grain and Wild Rice Mix. It has since evolved into this!

Herb and Spice Rice
A delicious herb and spice blend you can use on any grain!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup Brown Basmati Rice
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Italian Herb Blend
- 2 tsp Lawry’s Seasoned Salt
- 2 2/3 cup Broth or Water
- 1 Tbsp Butter or Coconut Oil
Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a medium sauce pan over high heat.

Bring to a boil.

Cover and lower heat to maintain a gentle simmer.

Simmer for 40 minutes. If rice is too firm, add a few more tablespoons of water or broth and simmer 5 minutes more.

Remove from heat and let sit, covered, for 10 minutes to steam.

Serve hot and enjoy!
Recipe Notes
You can easily use an equal amount of any other grain like couscous, barley, etc. Make sure you adjust your liquid and cooking time according to the directions for your grain of choice.
